All three programs emphasise meta-learning. That is, learning about learning.

Meta-learning engages students as partners in their own learning.

All students will be empowered to:

· develop strong musical fundamentals (listening, technique, tone, ear training, rhythm/metronome, intonation, reading, theory, memorisation, creativity),

· reflect on their practice through journalling,

· explore multi-modal methods (singing, exploring multiple instruments, moving, reading, drawing),

· develop positive mental strategies,

· cultivate a life-long appreciation and love for music and the poetic arts more broadly.

These methods are the culmination of my 15+ years of professional teaching experience and are in constant renewal as I, and my students, continue to learn. I owe a great debt to all of my fantastic teachers over the years and to all of the great musicians, writers and thinkers from whom I've gleaned invaluable knowledge.
